We are very pleased to welcome you to the Boston & District u3a web site.
As you may already know, u3as are found worldwide including here in the United Kingdom.

Members share their knowledge and experience with fellow members in an informal setting. Join us, make new friends and participate in activities you may not have thought could be enjoyable. No qualifications are required. You can learn new skills from fellow members and meet other like-minded persons. We are sure you will find something of interest. The u3a draws on the wealth of knowledge and experience of its members many of whom run groups.
Boston & District u3a was set up in September 1992. Our charity registration number is 1095865. We have over 250 members and rising with many active groups
General meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at The Jakemans Community Stadium (the home of Boston United Football Club). Click on the link to find out more about the general meetings.
Arrival from 10:00 for a 10:30 start. Proceedings begin with our administrative business followed by a guest speaker. Talks cover a range of topics and most importantly, members have the opportunity to meet and chat to fellow members.
If you decide to attend a monthly meeting you will be greeted at the door and someone will show you round and help you discover the groups and events we have on offer. This introductory meeting does not commit you to joining.
Becoming a member of Boston & District u3a
If you decide to join the fee is £15.00. for the year. The financial year begins on the 1st August however you can join at anytime.
Members receive an online magazine - Newsline - each month containing reports about group activities, announcements about future events and other news of interest.
"Boston u3a" has a closed user Facebook page which members can request to join and which is regularly updated with details of events
u3a Matters magazine - Members are able to subscribe to the national u3a magazine which contains information regarding the activities of other u3as, national events, book reviews and online courses.
The annual subscription for u3a Matters is £4.00 for 5 issues per year.
GIFT AID The benefit to Charities is well known and worth £3.75 to us for each UK taxpayer who gives authority. This is a valuable contribution to our running costs and enables us to keep the subscription at its current level of £15.00 per person. If you pay tax, please consider signing the gift aid box on the membership form.
